Sing joyfully to the Lord, all you lands;
serve the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful song.
PSALM 100:1-2

A great prophet has arisen in our midst and God has visited His people (Lk 7:16). "My eyes are upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with Me. He who walks in the way of integrity shall be in My service. (Ps 101:6)

Jesus said, "The Son of Man came eating and drinking and you said, ‘Look, he is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is vindicated by all her children. (Lk 7:34-35) Take care, then, how you hear. To anyone who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he seems to have will be taken away.” (Lk 8:18)

The wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without inconstancy or insincerity. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those who cultivate peace. (Jas 3:17-18)

Whoever aspires to the office of bishop desires a noble task. Therefore, a bishop must be irreproachable, married only once, temperate, self-controlled, decent, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not aggressive, but gentle, not contentious, not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, keeping his children under control with perfect dignity; for if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how can he take care of the Church of God? (1 Tim 3:1-5)

Similarly, deacons must be dignified, not deceitful, not addicted to drink, not greedy for sordid gain, holding fast to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. Moreover, they should be tested first; then, if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons. Deacons may be married only once and must manage their children and their households well. Thus those who serve well as deacons gain good standing and much confidence in their faith in Christ Jesus. (1 Tim 3:8-10,12-13)

Of mercy and judgment I will sing; to You, O Lord, I will sing praise. I will persevere in the way of integrity; when will You come to me? I will walk in the integrity of my heart, within my house; I will not set before my eyes any base thing. (Ps 101:1-3) May Your kindness, O Lord, be upon us who have put our hope in You (Ps 33:22).
