Settle Upon Your Land

PAVILION - BREAKFAST WITH MICARL & FAMILY
August 19, 2023

I will put my spirit in you that you may live,
and I will settle you upon your land;
thus you shall know that I am the Lord.
I have promised, and I will do it, says the Lord.
EZEKIEL 37:14

If it does not please you to serve the Lord, decide today whom you will serve. (Jos 24:14-15)

The hand of the Lord came upon you, and He led you out in the spirit of the Lord and set you in the center of the plain, which was once a dry land. He made you walk in every direction so that you saw the surface of the plain and how dry it is. By the Lord's hand, this once dry land He has given you has come back to life. Hear the word of the Lord! (Ez 37:1-4)

It was the Lord, your God, who brought you out of a state of slavery. He performed great miracles before your very eyes and protected you along your entire journey and among all the peoples through whom you passed (Jos 24:17). Fear the Lord and serve Him completely and sincerely. Cast out the gods of your fathers and serve the Lord.

Making a vow to the Lord is a holy and sacred commitment. A vow is like a contract agreement where one party does his work and commitment for a price or favor. Once you have received the price or favor you have asked for, you can no longer retract from doing what is expected of you. Remember, it was not the Lord who has set up the condition but you. It is imperative for you to be a man of your word regardless of its consequences.

God is your delight and His law is within your heart! (Ps 40:9) He does not seek any form of sacrifice, oblation, burnt or sin-offering but for you to obedient to the Lord, doing things in accordance with His will (Ps 40:7). Trust in the Lord and never turn to false idolatry and all sorts of falsehood (Ps 40:5).

In the written scroll, this is already prescribed for you (Ps 40:8). Give thanks to the Lord for His mercy and His wondrous deeds because He satisfied and filled you with good things (Ps 107:8-9).
