EXPANDING GOD'S CHURCH

OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Our Lady of the Pillar Parish Church is located at Mercury Road, Pilar Village, Las Pinas City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

It was originally built to accommodate around 500 parishioners. With the growing population of the village and massive evangelization of God's people, the church became overcrowded during Sunday Masses and other forms of gatherings. Because of limited sitting capacity, people either stand on the church perimeters, front garden or at the parking lot.

To address this concern, the Parish embarked on a new mission to expand God's Church. This was launched in February of 2004 and construction started in the following month.

Here, the new journey has begun . . .

In open country, Villa Alessa is a gift from God overlooking great high mountains, having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, clear as crystal.

The angel took me in spirit to a great, high mountain and showed me the holy city coming down out of heaven from God. It gleamed with the splendor of God. Its radiance was like that of a precious stone, like jasper, clear as crystal. - - Revelation 21:9-11

It had a massive, high wall, with twelve gates where twelve angels were stationed and on which names were inscribed. The wall had twelve courses of stones as its foundation, on which were inscribed the twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb. - Revelation 21:12-14

The Lord Brought Me Back

Then he brought me back to the door of the temple; and behold, water was issuing from below the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east); and the water was flowing down from below the south end of the threshold of the temple, south of the altar.

Then he brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me round on the outside to the outer gate, that faces toward the east; and the water was coming out on the south side.

And he said to me, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah; and when it enters the stagnant waters of the sea, the water will become fresh.

And wherever the river goes every living creature which swarms will live, and there will be very many fish; for this water goes there, that the waters of the sea may become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes.

And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing."
