The Church that God Built: CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

We give glory and praise to Our Lord, for all those good and faithful servants, who in their own humble way, have contributed a lot in our on-going church construction. As the Lord promised, we pray that they receive much more blessings in the days to come.

The on-going brick-laying works at the left side of the church is almost 70% complete. Finishing had begun in some portions and of the columns and walls. The Main trusses are already clad in bricks and finishing will start by the coming week. Alignment of the Stations of the Cross on the left side of the church had already been completed together with the installation of new small grille frames. Painting begun on some portions of the newly installed Window grilles and upon completion, what will be left are the silver crosses. Finishing of the walls on the lower portion of the window grilles are almost complete.

As you can see, we erected temporary covers to undertake the works on the right side of the church. This we have done, so that activities in the church will not be distracted by the on-going work in the said area. Installation of said grilles is currently on-going and expected to be finished by next week. Walls on the right side near the Main Trusses are being prepared for brick-laying works while the Main trusses are already being covered with Bricks.

In God’s grace, we have now reached the halfway mark of our 2.2@22 target. As of November 12, 2008, donations received amounted to Php 1,138,338.02 which is 51.74%. It is our hope and prayer that before the celebration of the birth of our Lord, this coming Christmas, our goal to raise the 2.2 Million will be achieved. We still need to raise the amount of P1,061,661.98 and we believed that the Good Lord will provide us more abundant blessings in order to settle all our obligations.

The Lord Brought Me Back

Then he brought me back to the door of the temple; and behold, water was issuing from below the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east); and the water was flowing down from below the south end of the threshold of the temple, south of the altar.

Then he brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me round on the outside to the outer gate, that faces toward the east; and the water was coming out on the south side.

And he said to me, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah; and when it enters the stagnant waters of the sea, the water will become fresh.

And wherever the river goes every living creature which swarms will live, and there will be very many fish; for this water goes there, that the waters of the sea may become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes.

And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing."
